South Salem has several neighborhood parks and rests besides Minto-Brown Island Park, an 898-acre natural area with an off-leash dog park, playgrounds, hiking trails, and picnic areas nestled along the Willamette River.

Liberty Road South and Commercial Street offer residents a variety of grocery stores, restaurants, shops, and other businesses.  Enjoy the Riverfront Carousel at Riverfront City Park, enjoy the shops and cafes in the pedestrian-friendly downtown.
