Overview
This position includes the management AND maintenance of this 49 unit property and another 12 unit property within close range. The manager person (or team) will work 48 hours/week (40hrs regular + 8 O/T) to take care of all aspects of both of these well-maintained properties. For a team, we can offer two F/T positions if interested.
Total Monthly Compensation is $4515.00. Monthly Compensation breakdowns: $3415. CASH + FREE RENT (Valued at) $1100. MONTHLY. This includes monthly cash salary of $2200. for 40hrs a week at Tabor Point, plus $990 a month for 8hrs a week (at overtime) at Willard Apts. (a 12 unit complex down the street) and $225.00 monthly in tax free reimbursements.
You get a full rent credit of $1100. for a beautiful 1 bedroom apartment (hardwood floors throughout). You will have the opportunity to earn frequent bonuses for re-renting apartments and rent increases. You will also qualify for medical and dental insurance (for working 30+hrs a week).
This position comes with a $600 sign-on bonus. Receive $200 day one of employment and the remaining $400 after 90 days on the job.
The job includes (but is not limited to) receiving and depositing rent, renting vacancies including posting ads, responding to maintenance requests, handling all minor maintenance, overseeing turnovers and any vendors, enforcing policies and being available to respond to any emergencies.
Skills
To ensure you have the tools for success, our best property managers have most of the following:
– Sales and/or retail experience
– Computer Experience is required
– Enjoy working with people
– Basic knowledge of (and ability to learn) Fair Housing laws.
– Home or apartment general MAINTENANCE experience REQUIRED.*A MUST*
– Ability to push/pull 70 lbs.
– Enjoy maintaining curb appeal – picking up the grounds, watering flowers, etc.
– Some college education as well as high school diploma or equivalent
– Strong computer skills and experience using office equipment
– Great verbal and written communication skills
The property management person(s) will work Saturdays and Sundays, since these are busy days for the property. Instead, he/she/they choose two days off during the week for their “weekend”. We provide a 3-day Training course to connect you with our expert support team along with your Asset Manager and your Accountant, giving you all the resources needed to launch into this rewarding career.
