Company History

Norris & Stevens is a commercial real estate brokerage and property management company based in Portland, Oregon, serving Oregon, SW Washington and, through its affiliations, all other markets. The firm was founded in 1966 by Richard Norris and Jack Stevens, as a company whose primary focus would be property management. We have since grown to be one of the area's largest locally owned commercial real estate service companies.
          
In 1987, Brian H. Bjornson and Robert R. Stutte, cpm®, became majority principals and co-chief executive officers of the corporation, and they presently serve as Managing Director and President, respectively. Both have invested the greater part of their careers in Norris & Stevens's success, and are determined to continue the company's historical commitment to quality service, ethical conduct and professionalism. Bob heads the Commercial Division (Sales, Leasing and Property Management), while Brian leads the Multi-Family Division (Sales and Property Management.) The two divisions together comprise one of the largest management portfolios in the metropolitan area, with over 12 million square feet of managed property.

Norris & Stevens offers professional services in leasing, sales, property management and consulting for Multi-Family, office, industrial, retail, land and commercial investment properties. Our staff of more than 70 people represents and protects the interests of a wide variety of corporations, partnerships, public and private institutions, and high net worth individuals. Our current property management portfolio exceeds 200 properties — more than 6 million square feet of commercial space and over 6000 Multi-Family units. Additional key corporate management personnel include: J.C. Kootnekoff, Director of Commercial Sales and Leasing; David T. Keys, cpm®, Vice President Property Management/Multi-Family; David Hamilton, rpa®, Vice President, Property Management/Commercial. David Keys, Kirk Ward, and David Hamilton became principals in 2002. Thomas McDowell, Tom Davies and Greg Nesting became principals in 2005.
